Samo Roš, Member of the Board of Management

After having graduated from the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana in 1991, Samo Roš passed the national bar exam and continued his education and training at the IEDC Business School at Bled and abroad. He has acquired extensive work experience at the Ljubljana Basic Court, Ljubljanska banka, the Development Fund of the Republic of Slovenia, the Slovenian Development Corporation and the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to arriving at Lek, Samo headed the Human Resources and Legal Department at Kemofarmacija where he also managed the process of the successful takeover and integration of companies that Kemofarmacija had acquired in Romania, Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia. At the end of 2004, when Celesio AG, Stuttgart, Germany (Europe’s largest drug wholesaler) acquired the majority stake in Kemofarmacija, he was involved in the company’s integration process. His duties included the implementation of modern human resource management processes and other key tasks, helping him to obtain vast experience with and knowledge about the operations of large multinational companies, particularly about merging organisational cultures and development in an international business environment.

Samo Roš holds the office of Head of Human Resources and a member of the Lek Board of Management as of June 1, 2010.
