Recognizing, steering and promoting the development of leadership talent is vital as it importantly contributes to our joint performance.

At Lek, talent development is systematically driven by the Organizational and Talent Review process (OTR) that is similar in all Novartis companies. The precondition and basis for its implementation is the Performance Management Process (PMP). Both the OTR and the PMP are carried out each year according to a pre-established schedule. They are performed by managers and supported by human resource experts who offer advice and assist both the managers and other associates.

We encourage our professionals to acquire additional training in world-renowned institutions, to attend and contribute at international conferences, to learn cutting-edge technologies, to stay on top of the latest in product development, and to participate in a variety of interdisciplinary teams. We want all our employees to fulfill their potential and become prominent in their field of expertise. We offer capable managers many leadership opportunities on different levels and in different aspects of our business operations. Lek supports MBA training programs and postgraduate studies, which directly impact job performance and encourage personal growth. Employees take an active role in planning their own career development. We hold annual interviews with our managers to evaluate the past year’s achievements, to coordinate personal goals with those of the company, and to simultaneously plan our personal growth and development. Through training we are thus able to create professional, carefully managed systems that support the design of career paths, preparation of our future leaders and individual personal growth.
