Biopharmaceutical Development Center
The industrial Center in Mengeš, with modern, recombinant technology is the only such Center in Slovenia and holds the key role in strengthening Sandoz’s leading position in the world in the field of biosimilars.
All central development functions are combined together at the Development Center, resulting in shorter development times. Our experts combine knowledge from different science fields, especially microbiology, biology, biochemistry, chemistry and pharmacy. Their achievements are an important part in the development of biosimilars for Sandoz’s global markets and for the Slovenian market.
We are organized into three sections: development, production and analytics of biological active ingredients.
Access to new knowledge is also made available to Slovenian universities and research-development institutions with whom we have been closely cooperating for years.
