Social responsibility

Corporate citizenship is an integral part of how we operate and a key to our success. It underlies our ethics and the high quality of our medicines. Both stem from our responsibility to patients and community, mutual trust and respect.

As a Sandoz company, the generic division of Novartis, we are proud to commit to the four pillars on which Novartis Corporate Citizenship rests:

  • Patients
Patients come first in our understanding of social responsibility.
  • Business conduct
We believe that achieving sustainable success is linked with operational ethics. We also give priority to business partners, suppliers and contractors who share our societal and environmental values – these requirements are defined in our Third Party Code of Conduct and our Corporate Citizenship Guideline of Third Party Management which sets out the criteria we take into account in selecting suppliers and service providers. (For more information, follow this link to the relevant Novartis internet page).
  • People and communities
We strive to be an employee and a family friendly company, to be actively involved with the community and to give special attention to the needs of children.
  • Environmental care
We raise employee awareness regarding safe and healthy work practices that do not exert undue influences on the environment.
