Lek confirms with its Top Employer certificate that it ranks among the very best

Lek, a Sandoz company, has obtained the prestigious international certificate "Top Employer" for being the best employer at the Slovenian level. The title "Top Employer 2024" confirms its long-standing commitment to creating a high-quality working environment in the first and oldest pharmaceutical company in Slovenia. Lek exceeded the average scores of comparable companies in all the criteria evaluated and ranked among the top European companies. The prestigious certificate complements the title it holds of most reputable employer, the TOP Investor in Education certificate, and many other awards for Lek's HR excellence.

"Lek enjoys a strong reputation in Slovenia, as we play an important role in our society as an employer, economic entity, and partner in healthcare," said Robert  Ljoljo, President of the Lek d.d. Board of Management and Sandoz Country President Slovenia. "With more than 3,000 employees, we are the fifth largest employer in the country. The number of employees is constantly growing, also on account of the forecast investments, which will create an additional 500 high-skilled jobs over the coming years. Lek surpasses  comparable European companies  

The Best Employer Certificate is awarded to companies with excellent HR practices and development programs for employees. The certificate is awarded by the Top Employers Institute, an international and independent institution, based on a survey that evaluates six HR areas through twenty criteria such as People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion, and others.

Lek’s average score was 92.6%, which is higher than the average score of participating European companies of 85.4%. In all the criteria assessed, Lek exceeded the average scores of comparable companies at the European level. The company received the highest possible score (100%) for the areas of business strategy, work environment, performance monitoring, career development opportunities, values and purpose, ethics, and integrity. Lek stood out radically from other comparable European companies in terms of employee well-being (14% higher than average), sustainability management, and career development opportunities.
